APIs, middleware, and databases that hold up under real load. 22+ years building the systems enterprise products depend on.
RLL Consulting is the practice of Michael Lamb, a software engineer with 22+ years building the back-end services, APIs, and databases that high-volume enterprise systems run on. I focus on the parts of the stack most teams find hardest to staff: RESTful API design, middleware, authentication and security, and T-SQL database work across Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. I work in C# and .NET Core (.NET 6 through .NET 10), .NET Framework, and ASP.NET, and I bring hands-on experience with Blazor, GraphQL, SSIS, and agentic, AI-assisted development. I've been remote-first since 2004, and I'm just as comfortable translating between design and engineering teams as I am writing the services that connect them.
